Questions people ask

What does CE mean on a Samsung washing machine?
The cold inlet is being fed hot water, which almost always means the hoses are on the wrong way round. Nothing is damaged and the machine will often still run. But every cycle is using the wrong water temperature, so cold washes run hot and hot washes run cold. Colours fade faster and protein stains set instead of lifting. Start here: turn off both taps.
What does CE mean on an LG washing machine?
The motor circuit is drawing more current than it should. Stop the cycle. The machine has cut the motor to protect the electronics, and repeated restarts put that same surge through the board each time. Start here: unplug for ten seconds, then try one cycle.
What does CE mean on an LG dishwasher?
The control board is not getting the response it expects from the wash motor. No. The motor drives the water round the machine, so without it there is no wash at all. Nothing is unsafe, but the cycle will stop wherever it noticed. Start here: cut the power for five minutes.

Do not see your machine? We publish a brand only once its codes are confirmed against manufacturer documentation and a second independent source. That is slower than guessing, and it is the whole point of the site.

This is not a coincidence of one code: we compared every code that appears on more than one brand and found that several mean the opposite depending on the badge.
