Privacy policy

The short version: we do not ask you for anything, and we do not have accounts, logins, newsletters or forms. Advertising and hosting involve third parties, and this page says exactly which and what they see.

What we collect ourselves

Nothing that identifies you. There is no sign-up, no contact form, no comment section and no newsletter on this site, so there is no place for you to give us personal information and no database holding any.

The search box on the home page runs entirely inside your browser against a list of codes built into the page. What you type is never sent anywhere, including to us.

If you email us at info@signalsxp.com, we obviously see your message and your address. We use them to reply and nothing else, we do not add you to any list, and we do not pass them on.

Server logs and the network

Like any site, ours is served by a web server that keeps standard access logs: the address requested, the time, the response code, the browser's user agent and the IP address the request came from. This is ordinary operational data, used to keep the site running and to spot abuse. It is not linked to any profile, and it is not sold or shared.

Traffic reaches the site through Cloudflare, which acts as a content delivery network and security layer. Cloudflare processes requests on the way through and may set a strictly necessary cookie for security purposes. Their handling is governed by Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Advertising and cookies

This site is funded by advertising. Where ads appear, they are served by Google, acting as a third-party vendor through the Google AdSense programme.

Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and out of many third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info. Turning off personalisation does not remove advertising, it only makes it less relevant to you.

We do not set any cookies of our own, and we do not run web analytics on this site. We have no access to the data advertising cookies collect: it goes to Google, not to us.

Every code page links to the manufacturer documentation and independent sources it was checked against, so you can verify what we say. Those sites are not ours and have their own privacy policies. We do not earn commission from these links and nobody pays to be listed.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about visitors, there is generally nothing for us to show, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence removed, write to info@signalsxp.com and we will delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over the data advertising vendors hold about you, including access, deletion and opting out of sale or sharing. Those requests go to the vendors, since they, not we, hold that data. The Google Ads Settings link above is the practical starting point.

Children

This site is intended for adults dealing with a broken appliance. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in substance, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Questions about any of it go to info@signalsxp.com.
